Performing “By Night” by Elaine Hagenberg with Camerata was nothing short of magical—an experience that truly brought us together as an ensemble and as passionate live music lovers. Under Julianna LoBiondo’s direction and with Dr. Crawford’s incredible guest percussion, every note felt like a shared breath, every harmony a moment of pure connection. This piece wasn’t just music but storytelling, emotion, and unity woven into sound. Of all the works in our Spring ’24 performance, this one resonated with me the most—an unforgettable reminder of why I love choral music.
